Bake Sale

There will be a bake sale at Chillerz in Hawley this Sunday to benefit Jeanine!

Edited to add this from Nancy: "The bake sale starts at 8:30 a.m. this Sunday. Take the Hawley exit off hwy 277 north. It is at the Shell Station right there....also known as Chillerz. Pick up treats for your Sunday school class or dessert for your lunch!!"

Also, please feel free to leave a comment for Jeanine in the comments section. To do that click on the "comments" link at the bottom of the post. You do not need to sign in or register- you can select "anonymous" in the "choose profile" box which is just under your comment! (Just be sure to leave your name in the actual comment box!)

We will be sure to email all of the comments to Jeanine and Dick!

  2. Precious Jeaniney, you blessed me (and us) with your hostessing the "tea party" this week in your cool, gracious living room. We needed that refreshment of body, soul and spirit, so thanks so much!

    Blessings on your Friday.
    Love, Carolyn

  3. What a great idea to have a blog to update and write what is on my mind. There is alot on my mind as I get ready for the drive to Houston.
One of my grandaughters questions she askes is "aren't you afraid or scared"? And my answer is no, I have not been afraid or scared any time since I heard the diagnosis "you have stomach cancer". I instantly gave those worries to God!
Today have not felt very good. Not able to drink or eat much today

  5. The bake sale was a huge success. Cheri and her friends must be some fantastic cooks! Jeanine and Dick are thrilled with all of the love and support showered on them by their friends and family. They are in Houston today, Aug.3, and were on their way to the hospital this morning at 8:00. Please pray for Jeanine to have good results from the testing done tomorrow, for successful insertion of her feeding tube, and for prompt intitiation of treatment when she sees her oncologist Thursday. Praising God as the Great Provider....Nancy

  7. Arrived at MDA at 830 this morning for pre surgery. I have been run through the mill for pre op to assure that nothing happens. My heart is still there and working well.
The surgery is scheduled for 14:30 tomorrow. I will be admitted at 13:30. The various departments were running behind today, so I expect the surgery team to be the same. Please pray for the lap to have a clean wash!

  8. I looked for Wednesday evenings because that is when we got the best news from the nurses. They had a subtle way of telling us things that the doctors could not or would not. We knew that churches all over were praying on Wednesday. Churches full of people that we never knew or met had been burdened to pray. We heard from them. Not loud or boasting but quite and assuring messages. Those prayers of nearly two decades ago are still being answered and I marvel at how God continues to demonstrate His purpose in his life. We know that He hears and answers. We know that many are praying for Jeanine. May our Lord be glorified in His answer to our voices.

  9. Jeanine, This is Karen Connel friends of Herb and Nancy. Don visits with Dick at the fishing trips they have every year. It's been a long time since I've seen you and didn't know if you remembered me but I wanted you to know I was thinking of you and Dick and let you know our prayers are with you as you make this difficult journey. Blessings to you both.
