Ready and Waiting....

Jeanine went in for her 4th chemo on Monday but her platelet count was down a bit too much, so she went home to recoup for a couple more days. She is scheduled to try again tomorrow.

The side effects of the chemo are hitting her during the infusion at the doctors office....nausea and cold sensitivity. It hurts her hands really badly to try to get something out of the fridge. She can't drink or eat anything cold for a few days after a treatment.

All this is said so that you will know how to pray for her. The good news is that her tummy is holding a little more food and she is still tolerating her formula, though she hasn't been able to increase the rate as much as she would like to.

I am praying for minimal side effects, MAXIMUM BENEFITS, and for lots of "good" days between treatments! I mean like....really.....praying!! How about you?

Jeanine's Jewel of a Journalist! (Haha!)

  1. Dearest Jeanine, wow, you wouldn't know I was still alive would you?! If only you knew how many times I think of you during the day and the prayers lifted up on your behalf, but how could you know since I haven't told you lately? I love you sooo much and am glad to get the super journalist's note re: your chemo. What a bummer, but I do know to pray more specifically now...maximum benefit, minimum yukky effects! I am having fuller days than ever I thought a GREAT grandmother could have and they are precious with our little Addison. (just in case you wondered what else I might be doing) :-) Sending our love, C. and A.M.
